The Sixth Form at Oak Lodge School works with local colleges to provide vocational and academic courses. Students can study vocational and academic courses from Entry Level 2 to Level 3.
The programme on offer within the Sixth Form enables students to develop their social, emotional and academic independence to enable them to move into adult life with confidence.
The Sixth Form has its own accommodation with a dedicated and experienced staff. The department supports students in many ways including providing Communication Support Workers to provide sign language or notetaking in class; individual tutors to help with language; the loan of specialist equipment such as radio aids; access to Speech and Language Therapy and deaf awareness training to staff and students at colleges.
If you are interested in joining our Sixth Form please contact Oak Lodge to arrange a meeting with one of our tutors. We can give you advice on the suitability of courses and conduct an assessment to determine your support needs.
For more information you now may wish to visit our Aspire and Achieve page,

Lifelong learning continues with our Deaf First Department from 19 to 25 years of age, and beyond.
